Kigen's Anti-Cheat

Hello,
Lately there was someone banned on servers I play on for r_drawothermodels. He appealed his ban saying that he was watching a demo beforehand and had used r_drawothermodels to see if there was anything suspicious.
After leaving the demo and joining a server, could KAC possibly ban him? Is it pretty much a sure thing he was hacking or using scripts?

r_drawothermodels while reviewing a demo is not the issue.
It is not possible to have r_drawothermodels cvar enabled when you join a server.
The server will enforce the cvar when players join and it is disabled.
The only way to have it enabled again in a server is with a third party cheat.

So to answer your question if KAC banned him for r_drawothermodels he was cheating
and it's not a carry over from reviewing a demo.
