Protest Section Guidelines

Post by Kigen »

These are some rules for the protest section to keep it clean.
  1. Please Provide post your Steam ID #
Without your Steam ID we can't proceed.
Depending on when you purchased your Source game.
you may see a more or less numbers in your Steam ID, but it's in this format.

    Example:
    STEAM_0:0:12345
    STEAM_0:0:123456
    STEAM_0:0:1234567
    STEAM_0:0:12345678
    -------------------------------
  2. Do NOT post in protest threads unless you are directly involved.
  3. Do NOT be disrespectful, threaten, or be abusive.
  4. Do NOT post more than one protest thread.
  5. Do NOT PM me trying to get my attention to your protest. Only PM me with a Steam ID if you do not wish to have that information publicly posted.
  6. Do NOT lie! It will only worsen your situation.
  7. Only post a protest if you receive "Disconnect: You are banned from all Kigen's Anti-Cheat (KAC) protected servers. See http://www.kigenac.com/ for more information." when attempting to join a server.
Violation of these rules can result in moderation action up to, but not limited to, banning.

UPDATE:
Please be advised ...
Don't post multiple protests as your original protest thread will need to be approved before it is viewable on this forum.
Your protest post will be reviewed my a KAC moderator.

If for some reason you were KAC banned and feel it was unwarranted,
Or if you just have questions regarding a KAC ban

Please provide your Steam ID #
Without this information it is impossible to proceed.
Your Steam account, your responsibility... no excuses!

Once you have your Steam ID number
you can check the ban status here
http://kigenac.com/bancheck.php

How to get your Steam ID:

in Counter-Strike Source (CSS)
go to Options/Keyboard/Advanced
Click the box to Enable Developer Console ~

return out of CSS menu system.

in game, while you are in a server.
type the ~ key, this will invoke the console.
type status and then your enter key.
you will see a list of all players in game.

find your player name in the list.
you will see you STEAM ID listed.

Or:

Locate your steam directory on your hard drive.
usually C:\Program Files\Steam or C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam
find steam.log file
open steam.log with notepad.

Look for lines such as:
CsComm ConnectionPool Nov-30-2007 00:43:19.632 [3136] Did not find an existing connection, attempting new connection 1,69.28.153.90:27030 for 0:0:1234567
The last few numbers is your steam id, ie: 0:0:1234567

depending on when you purchased Counter-Strike Source.
you may see a more or less numbers in your Steam ID,
but it's in this format.
STEAM_0:0:12345
STEAM_0:0:123456
STEAM_0:0:1234567
STEAM_0:0:12345678

KAC ban ID's

This information was up to date as of KAC version 1.1.9
as shown here:
KACSM/1.1.9/kigen-ac-pub.sp

The first numbers means:
1 - Name copying
2 - Name hack (unconnected fools)
3 - Failure to validate in time.

4.x - Failure to reply correctly to convar query.
is for when cheat-makers attempt to just block convar queries.
This would be done by causing a reply like Convar_Invalid, etc.
This should never happen on a legit client.

5.x - Failure to match server replicated convar.
is when the convar and the value provided by the client does not match the servers.
This will pretty much just be replicated convars that should, on normal clients, always match the server's copy.
Illegitimate clients (cheaters) will generally either reply with the convars default value
or with the values modified beyond what they should be. (sv_cheats 1, sv_consistency 0, etc.)

6.x - Failure to match plugins convar values list.
is for client convars that don't exist on the server and thus can't be compared.
These generally are cheat convars that, on legit clients, cannot be changed from their default values.

The x is the number representing the convar they failed to match.
In the Source code file you'll notice I added comments after the convar names.
The numbers mean their order and what they would be shown on a ban (x).
The last number is what your interested in.

Questions or requests for details on why your Steam ID was banned by KAC

KAC staff will provide No details on the reason that KAC banned you from a server.
KAC staff will only provide a confirmation check with your submitted Steam ID against the globally ban database.
Only a confirmation that the Steam ID in question was caught for cheating will be provided.

If your Steam ID is not on the global ban database,
Your ban is a local server ban & not on the KAC global ban list.
Please contact the local server provider for assistance.

KAC staff will NEVER ask for money for unbans, passwords, or other personal information from you.
KAC staff will NEVER ask for Steam account login information or passwords.

Kigen's Anti-Cheat does NOT unban for money, or anything else.
Your best bet is to get a new Steam account from VALVe and buy your games all over again.
