Standalone Version?

Standalone Version?

Hey,

Any possibilities for a standalone version? metamods? (doesn't rely on sourcemod or any other system)

That is currently being worked on.

Its the newer version I've been talking about in other posts.

SourceMod is rather limited in what it can do anti-cheat wise, and connection wise. Besides, most of the Source engine game community does not use SourceMod.

I am looking foreward to this, I removed the anti-cheat due to the fact that the crashes and socket lags were unbearable. However it will be instantly back up when the standalone version comes online.

I'm fixing up the errors the SourceMod version had. While working on the stand-alone version as well.

The crashing issues should be fixed in my most recent beta of KAC 1.1.4.

Hey Kigen I would also like to run the standalone version when you have one ready. I am currently running a custom mod using eventscripts and mani admin, so I don't really want to install sourcemod and go through the process of configuring everything not to mention the fact of having to rewrite the custom mod as a sourcemod plugin.

I am running DFZedRWX's CS Source servers so if you need a server do some testing, let me know. We have some locked rentals I could give you access to.

KAC protects against some known commands that crash servers.

Ex. KAC was one of the first plugins that protected against the ai_test_los crash exploit for EP2 based games (TF2 etc).
