Hi guys.

Post by Delphy »

Hey My name is Annette aka Delphy I´m currently one of the owners at BadNetwork a gaming community.
We use Kigen at our css server, but some of us have noticed something quite strange.
When we move our self to spectator to watch a cheater after like 2-3 sec they get disconnected.

I did´t want to set up a account at any of the low life cheater forums and ask this question, so I figured who best to know about
possible cheats out there that will disconnect you from the server then the guys who work on how to stop them in the first place? hehe

Great forum by the way.
Its helped me ALOT.

And sorry for creating a account and ask questions and advice right away, Im just so puzzled by this.

Tnx for any replies.

Best

i know lua scripts can do it. but it triggers vac ban,

in a certain period of time only vac decides,

but maybe this is a new threat?

I think he was saying that the suspected cheater disconnects when someone moves to spectator.

There isn't a whole lot you can do other than setup SourceTV to record. SourceTV will record a .dem that has everyone that's in the server in it. This will allow you to review the actions of everyone.

tnx for the replies guys.
And its not ME who get kicked its the "hacker" Im trying to spec who suddenly disconnected.
It´s almost like they know a admin is watching them, and they have a auto disconnect built in their cheat somehow.

Just wanted to know if any of you have seen the same or knew of a cheat that did that to people.

The SourceTV idea is not that dumb I´ll run that by the other owners. :)

I haven't seen a cheat that would disconnect the cheater if he was being watched. However, cheaters can see the chat box and see when someone goes into spectator. Using SourceTV to record a demo makes it so that you don't have to go into spectator to get a recording of the cheaters.

There are two plugins that can do this for you.

and then you can make a account on steambans (needs extra plugin on server), and when you have demo of cheaters (with sb_status in console)
you can report them to their banlist and will be banned on over 600 servers in orange(HL2mp,DoDs,TF2,CSS) and goldsrc(HL,CS1.6) engine
