Re: Problem with KAC and my server not restarting

Any maybe its something that isn't closing out properly when the "quit" command is received. I think one of the other 1000+ servers using SteamTools would have reported the issue. I just hate it when someone blames an issue on something without at least a cursory check (case in point, it ...

Re: Problem with KAC and my server not restarting

Seems you found it was the Steamtools extension. http://forums.alliedmods.net/showpost.php?p=1449544&postcount=134 I know this is a bump to quite an old topic, but I just wanted to clear this up. SteamTools doesn't have a single hook in the engine or server that could affect this, it only hooks...

Re: KAC not dead

kac should have been a metamod source plugin then (from start) Even closed source plugins can be reversed engineered, it's still not safe. That's why code obfuscation, string encoding, anti-debugging, and symbol stripping exists. It won't completely stop reverse engineering but hopefully it will di...

Re: 5/5/2011 Valve update crash fix

I have to agree with the "stay away from AlliedMods" thing. Got banned from the forums permanently for some dumbass reason (seriously, it was pretty damn retarded) Please, at least have the courtesy to include you AlliedModders username so it can be verified. I can only think of one perso...

Re: License Discussion

Even ignoring the whole plugins aspect, there is another clear cut one:
SourceMod's include files are licensed under the GPL, the code from these are included into the compiled binary.

Re: 5/5/2011 Valve update crash fix

I was told by other that you do it sometimes. Regardless, I didn't check it out for myself as I was banned from AM forums anyway. So instead you chose to just slander me? Please, since you seem to have worked out you can logout and view the board since you quoted databomb, could you try to find whe...

Re: 5/5/2011 Valve update crash fix

Asherkin himself released closed sourced binaries when he is required by GPL to release source code. Where? I'll happily correct the situation, not that I'm aware one exists. I will no longer be using SourceMod. If you know (or a willing to learn) C++, MM:S is a safe platform for server plugins tha...

Re: New Style

With some tweaks it would be better then the old one.
I agree with what others have said about the lack of logo (I'm happy to redo my old graphics contest entry for the current colour scheme if you wish).

I like the fact it makes nightrider's posts actually legible. :P
